Freecycle NYC Freemeet!

TIME: 11am-4pm (please drop off items no later than 3pm)
WHERE: At the Sixth Street Community Center
COST: *FREE*
Bring your unwanted, but useful stuff to give away, or come by to see what’s being offered! Nothing is for sale--everything goes on a first-come first-served basis.
What can I bring/get at the May 14th Freemeet?
Just about any working, reusable item can be dropped off (and taken home!) at the Freemeet, such as:
**Please be sensitive to the allergies of others. Leave animals at home and don't bring excessively hairy or items otherwise well-loved by animals.
All materials left at the end of the day will be donated to charity to the extent possible. Please bring your give-aways NO LATER THAN 3pm--this allows people a chance to go through them and take them home. If you cannot make it in time, contact us for names of charities who will accept your donations.
Interested in Volunteering?
Volunteers are needed to help the event function smoothly. Join the planning group to see what's new and needed, or contact us at info@RecycleThisNYC.org for more information on getting involved. Types of help needed include:
Help move clothing in and out of the Freemeet with ease. Considering loaning the use of a garment rack for the day, or help us locate one!
How to find the Freemeet:
The Sixth Street Community Center is located at 638 East Sixth Street (between Avenues B & C) and is accessible from the F train (2nd Avenue stop) or the M21, M9, M8, M14A, and M15 buses.

- books and magazines
- sports equipment
- games and toys
- kitchen items
- office supplies
- arts and crafts materials
- food and cosmetic items, if sealed/unused
- plants
- music (nothing pirated)
- household items (candles, linens, etc)
