Day #14 of Grateful

I had to think about this one a bit. The weekend was good. I did not get as much done as I would have liked, but it was unrealistic to think I could have done more and still have time to do non-computer related chores. So, all and all, it was a productive weekend!

Today I started my day on a spiritual note, reading some and listening to the tape I made of Joel Osteen's sermon Sunday morning. Joel spoke about "visualizing" where you want to be. That's pretty heady stuff and I find it worth listening to over and over again. I figure... eventually it will sink in, or I'll get tired of letting other things stand in my way!

Some personal stuff happened today and it made me realize how very blessed I am — even with some of my current challenges, which are no little things. It could be a lot worse!

So today my grateful list will be quite simple:
  • I am grateful that I still have alternatives. While this might not make sense as it is a bit personal, alternatives ARE very important in the scheme of things. Without alternatives we find ourselves at other people's mercy. Not a good place to be. So I consider myself blessed.
  • I am grateful for today's warm weather. It was sunny, warm and delightful for walking and taking pictures. I did both, and enjoyed the experience. At one time it would never have occured to me to enjoy the peace of it all... Today I did.
  • I am grateful to experience the changing seasons. The trees are beautiful, even without their leaves. It's a time of ending and new beginnings!
  • Last, but not least I am grateful to be alive!
Be good to yourself and have a wonderful evening. Please come back tomorrow for Day #16 of Grateful.
