Personal Testimonial:  In my (Roz Fruchtman) opinion… Anything Scott Kelby does has to be the greatest.  I know Scott since 2000 or 2001 and his live NYC seminars and books have changed my life from “just wishing TO just doing!”

(NAPP) are pleased to announce that as of today, 5,500 photographers from 241 cities in 43 countries have signed up to participate in Scott Kelby’s first-ever worldwide Photo Walk scheduled for Saturday, August 23. The Photo Walks are organized to celebrate the release of Scott Kelby’s latest book – The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 Book for Digital Photographers (an update to his earlier world’s bestselling book on Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom®).

Registration is free and open to all photographers – amateur to professional – from around the world. Photo Walk groups are limited to 50 participants in each city and advance registration is required. Sponsors of this global landmark event are NAPP

A grand prize, valued at $5000, will be awarded to the single best overall photo of the day taken from all the Photo Walk locations. Kelby’s Photo Walk is a fun, social photography event where photographers get together for two hours, usually in a metropolitan area or a trendy section of a city, to walk around, shoot photos, and generally have fun with other photographers. In 2001, right before 911, I attended my very first Photoshop Seminar Tour with Scott Kelby in NYC. He literally “changed the course of my life.”  

About 7-8 years ago I discovered I had a flair for digital design. I started with Paint Shop Pro like most on the web. Found out quickly that Photoshop was the industry standard. Thought it would be a breeze. WRONG!!!

I thought it would take forever or never to learn all the cool stuff people did with Photoshop. WRONG!!!

In ONE DAY with Scott Kelby I learned that “I could learn quickly and that it was all a few clicks away!” IF I could bottle the feeling I had when I left the Jacob Javits Convention Center that day, I would make millions.

It was what Dr. Phil would say “A Defining Moment!” I am a dedicated NAPP Member and in my book: “If Scott Kelby does it, it has to be good!” (sight unseen). I already have my ticket to the June, 2007 Photoshop Seminar Tour in NYC. IF Scott will be there, so will I! Scott Kelby makes a long and tedious day of learning, fun with his humor and Photoshop expertise.
